Is there an age limit for classes?
For nighttime classes, ages 13-17 are allowed with an adult over the age of 18, everyone must have a paid seat. Daytime class (any class that ends before 5PM), we allow ages 10 and up with an adult. All other ages can only attend a class that is marked specifically “kids class” on the calendar.
Can a friend or child attend an event and not paint?
Non-painters are allowed, however they would still need to pay for the seat. Unfortunately, due to limited seating we are unable to make exceptions to this policy.
What is the cancellation policy?
No refunds will be issued for reservations. However, if you cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice your payment will be turned into a credit that can be used for a future class within 120 days. Please email us (AR@BLACKROSEFARM.COM) to cancel. If you no-show, or don't give at least 24 hours’ notice, you forfeit your reservation payment and will not receive a credit. Seats are transferable, but please notify us at least 3 hours prior to a class with the name change.
How will I know if you cancel class for weather?
We will email everyone out as soon as we make that decision,. We rarely cancel classes so unless you have heard from us it is ok to assume we will be having class!
When do I need to arrive to class?
"We recommend you arrive 20 minutes before class starts to allow time for you to get parked, settled in, and mingle with friends before the painting starts. We start promptly on time!"
Where are you located and where do I park?
We are located between Waverly and McEwen at 6815 E.Blue Creek Road McEwen Tn.You will see our Black Rose Farm sign on the black fence at the road.The gates will be open if we are within an hour of class start time!We do have a small parking lot, that has 10 designated spots in front of the studio, and another overflow or oversized lot in the field beside the gravel lot.There will be a sign to look for, for this second lot.
What should I wear to class?
No dress code here...dress casual or dress up. We will provide you with an apron but painters have been known to get involved in their work of art!
What do I need to bring to class?
We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class.All you need to bring is yourself!We will have small snacks, and sodas to purchase.
May I bring in my own beverages?
We are currently working on our beer and wine license, but do not have them completed yet.So for now you are allowed to bring your own!This is subject to change once licenses are approved.
